DEBBIE KNIEPER A residence of the Outer Banks since 1983, she started her career working in retail. She later became involved in helping her husband start his own painting company, Imperial Painters, in 1989. During this time she worked from home and raised the couple’s three children until 2001. Wanting a career of her own she embarked on her adventure in real estate. This is where she has found her passion. Whether it is helping people who are first time buyers or major investor in real estate, this is a job she loves. She has dedicated herself to stay educated to keep up with the ever changing ways that affect real estate. So far, she has earned her GRI (Graduate of Realtor Institute) and SFR (Short Sale Foreclosure Resource). Being very active in the community, Debbie is a member of the Dare Community Crime Line as secretary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles as auxiliary secretary. She has also helped organize the surf fishing tournament for the Outer Banks Association of Realtors in the past three years. Through this she has helped raise money for the scholarship program for local graduating seniors. Debbie’s mission is to educate every potential client on how they can enjoy the privileges of being a homeowner in our area. From local buyer who make up our area workforce or an investor in our rental market. Staying active in the community and seeking education she can convey her service to you with confidence, honesty and integrity.
DARLENE DOSHIER Ocracoke Island Sales Specialist Darlene is a native of Ocracoke Island. A graduate of Ocracoke School Darlene had been in many successful business ventures. She help create one of the most successful restaurants on the island with her brother, Christopher. She later decided to leave the restaurant business to open the Sweet Tooth Candy shop. This business allowed her to have more flexible hours with her son, Alan and husband, Captain Ernie Doshier of the Charter Boat Gecko. After seeing how much her Mother-In-Law, Rosemarie and Sister-In-Law, Stephanie, enjoyed their Real Estate Careers, Darlene decided to get her license. She has watched Ocracoke grow over the years and is very involved in the local Fire Department, Civic & Business Association and is a certified EMT.
